Organization Statement Adopted on May 14, 1998:
PURPOSE AND LIMITATIONS
The Corporation is organized for charitable purposes. Within this
context, the organization shall serve the West San Carlos Street Neighborhood
Business and Community by supporting and sponsoring scholarships and
grants for the Burbank and Lincoln High Schools, by coordinating community
events, promoting and funding public art projects, preserving and
recording the local Business history, supporting and encouraging entrepreneurship
and assisting in the general welfare of the Business District. The
organization will also advocate for and encourage the establishment
of educational programs for the purpose of eliminating the physical,
economic and social deterioration of the City of San Jose. It shall
not be organized for profit.
